Dennis Padilla appeared to have recently reconnected with his children with actress-politician Marjorie Barretto — Leon, Julia, and Claudia Barretto — in what seemed to be an intimate celebration of his son’s birthday, who turned 22 years old last April 2.
The actor-comedian, who himself is running for reelection as councilor in the second district of Caloocan City, took to Instagram to share a pictures of the intimate gathering, first, with Leon who had his left arm on his father’s shoulder, and then with the four of them, together with their grandmother, Catalina Dominguez, posted a few days apart.
“Love you anak… Leon Marcux,” Padilla captioned his post.
Leon then replied to Padilla’s post, saying, “Thanks, papa!” in the comments.
“Miss you mga anak,” he said in his follow-up post.
Padilla and Marjorie tied the knot in 1995, but their marriage was annulled in 2009.
The highly-publicized fallout between Padilla, his ex-wife, and their children happened sometime after the ex-couple’s annulment, with the actor expressing his hopes of being in contact with them.
Padilla’s apparent reconciliation with his kids happened sometime in 2024, when he shared in an ambush interview that he received a “short message” from Julia on his 62nd birthday. He was also greeted by Julia and Leon in February 2025.
