Binibining Pilipinas Anna Valencia Lakrini will take another shot at an international pageant, this time representing her father’s native country of Germany at the Miss Supranational 2025 pageant.
The 27-year-old nutrition graduate from Berlin was crowned Miss Supranational Germany at the culmination of the 2025 Queens of Germany contest on April 5 (April 6 in Manila).
The German competition chooses the European nation’s representatives to Miss International, Miss Supranational, The Miss Globe, Miss Aura International, Miss Charm, and Miss Cosmo pageants.
Lakrini had already competed in The Miss Globe pageant in 2023, representing her mother’s home country of the Philippines. She finished third overall in the international contest.
When she competed in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant for two years in a row, she represented her mother’s home province of Bataan.
She was a semifinalist on her first attempt, but came back stronger in 2023, earning a national crown and the Best in Swimsuit award.
In a stroke of serendipity, German beauty and 2022 Miss International Jasmin Selberg sat in the judging panel of both the 2023 Bb. Pilipinas pageant and the 2025 Queens of Germany contest.
Lakrini will face The Miss Philippines-Supranational 2025 Tarah Valencia in the 16th edition of the Miss Supranational pageant in Poland in June. Reigning queen Harashta Haifa Zahra from Indonesia will crown her successor in the contest.
Valencia will try to score the Philippines’ second Miss Supranational victory, following Mutya Johanna Datul, who won in 2013. Lakrini, meanwhile, will try to post Germany’s first win in the international pageant.
