Megastar Sharon Cuneta expressed her excitement over her attendance at the ABS-CBN ball for the first time after years of not gracing it due to her insecure feeling of being “so fat.”
On her Instagram page, Cuneta said that she always chose not to go to the ball because she didn’t feel her “best self.”
“I was always invited, but could never come because I didn’t feel like it. I was always so fat. Nothing wrong with that per se, but I just never felt like my best self,” she wrote.
However, after overcoming her insecurities, the award-winning actress is now ready to join the party on Friday night, April 4, writing, “So now that I do, I am joining my Kapamilya!!! Finally!!! Yehey!!! Thank You Lord!!!”

Cuneta earlier opened up about her weight-loss journey, sharing her delight that she can finally fit into small and medium clothes, which are the sizes that she “actually wants to wear.”
The singer-actress also revealed that she is taking treatments to improve her appearance as she showed scars on both her arms, which she acquired from a cosmetic surgery in 2023.
At the time, the “Mr. Dream Boy” singer had lost over 100 pounds and had to remove extra skin. Aside from this, Cuneta also disclosed that she also underwent breast reduction.
The Megastar shared in February that she had lost 15 lbs. after stepping up her fitness journey anew, a progress that she has been doing for nine years now.
“I decided to lose weight slowly on my 50th birthday [in] 2016. It’s been 9 years of losing weight, gaining weight again, being happy and inspired, feeling disappointed and frustrated,” she said at the time.
