FEATURED STORIES

In C.S. Lewis novel series “The Chronicles of Narnia,” Aslan is originally a male character that is often seen as an allegory for Jesus as he serves as “Narnia’s guardian and a guide for the human children.”

Aside from Streep, “James Bond” actor Daniel Craig and singer-songwriter Charli XCX are said to also be in talks for the roles of Digory’s uncle and Jadis, the White Witch, respectively.

If the casting pushes through, it will be a reunion for Streep and Gerwig after working in the 2019 hit “Little Women.”

Gerwig will be adapting “The Magician’s Nephew,” which is the sixth book in Lewis’ novel that tells the story of how Narnia was discovered.
