Janine Gutierrez reiterated the importance of how “small choices” can affect life positively, noting how a person’s life can also be considered as a form of art.

In her acceptance speech during the Cosmopolitan Philippines’ Women of Influence Awards at the Newport World Resorts last March 27, Gutierrez spoke about how a person’s choice can be considered as something that makes a person’s life better.

“I’m so happy to be the creative catalyst because I do believe that your life is your art. Your life is your legacy,” she said.

The actress then listed down examples of how a person’s life can change, such as the choice of their meals and the kind of content they post on social media.

“The simple choices you make, like what you’re going to eat today or what I’m going to post about Masumi today, where you can share knowledge with your followers and friends, these small things that you do every day do make a big impact,” she said.

Staying on the topic, Gutierrez reiterated that imparting positive change among women doesn’t have to come from a person with a “huge success story.” For her, what matters is the intention behind it.

“You don’t have to have a huge movement or a huge success story right away. It’s the small things you do every look àday that make a change and inspire the women around you. That is your activism and that is your art,” she said.
