After almost a year since welcoming her first child, Maja Salvador is now ready to return to action as she is set to headline the upcoming revenge drama “Athena.”
Salvador, who recently signed with MQuest Ventures, has a slate of new projects underway including “Athena,” a series that will once again showcase her range as an actress.
As of writing, details about “Athena” are being kept under wraps, but the series is set to mark Salvador’s return to the spotlight after leading the family drama comedy “Niña Niño” in 2021.
“REDy to step into the spotlight again!” she wrote in her latest Instagram post. “I’m excited to get back to work.”
Aside from a new series, the 36-year-old is also returning as host of the upcoming fifth season of the game show “Emojination.”
Salvador, who’s known as Queen of the Dance Floor, is also set to host the upcoming dance competition, “Isayaw Mo.”
The contract signing also teases film projects are already in the pipeline for Salvador, with one movie expected to be released this year.
“She is more than just a phenomenal talent—Maja is family to us at MediaQuest. Her passion, versatility, and unwavering commitment to her craft have made a lasting impact, not just on our network but on the audiences who continue to embrace her” said Jane Jimenez-Basas, President and CEO of MediaQuest and MQuest Ventures.
In 2019, Salvador headlined the drama gothic-horror “The Killer Bride.” She also made a guest appearance in the Richard Gutierrez-starrer “The Iron Heart” in 2022.
For a time, the “Wildflower” actress also served as one of the hosts of “Eat Bulaga” in 2021.
In May last year, Salvador and her non-showbiz husband Rambo Nuñez welcomed their daughter, Maria.
