Jojo Mendrez, Rainier Castillo spotted at hotel casino

Weeks after Jojo Mendrez and Mark Herras were spotted together in Parañaque City, the businessman-singer sparked another dating rumors, this time with the latter’s “Starstruck” batchmate Rainier Castillo after a sighting.

A photo of Mendrez and Castillo together at a casino made the rounds of social media. The photo showed the “Starstruck” season one alum seated during what seemed to be a game while Mendrez stood closely behind while toying with a stack of casino chips.

Mendrez and Castillo have yet to address the photo, as of this writing.

Mendrez previously made headlines after a video of him hanging out with Herras at a hotel casino in Parañaque City last February. However, Mendrez denied any romantic involvement with the latter in a statement and later during his contract signing with Star Music.

“‘Yung video na lumabas na ‘yan, napaka-malicious. Kaya nga sabi ng management huwag ko na sagutin, kasi kahit sabihin ko na hindi, sasabihin ng tao ay oo. Kung sasabihin ko naman ay oo, sasabihin naman ng tao ay hindi. So saan ako lalagay?” Mendrez said.

(The video that came out was malicious. This is why the management told me to not respond. Even if I say no, people will insist it is a yes. If I say yes, the people will insist it is a no. Where do I put myself then?)

Herras, who is married to his non-showbiz partner Nicole Donesa with two children, further denied the dating rumors in a separate interview.

Dubbed the “revival king,” Mendrez dropped his first original song “Nandito Lang Ako” composed by songwriter-producer Jonathan Manalo. He is notable for his rendition of “Somewhere in My Past” by the late actress and singer Julie Vega.

Castillo is married to his non-showbiz wife Diane Quizon and they have one child together. He appeared in the shows “Black Rider” and “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum.”
