“Pig changes are coming!”
Fans of the British animated series “Peppa Pig” are in for an exciting treat as its matriarch, Mummy Pig, announced that they are expecting an addition to their family.
Mummy Pig, voiced by British actress-comedian Morwenna Banks, made the announcement through the TV program “Good Morning Britain” last Feb. 27, which marked the character’s first time to appear on a TV interview.
After letting out a deep sigh from apparent mixed excitement and jitters, Mummy Pig said, “I’m very excited to tell you all that I…”
Mummy Pig was cut after Peppa, the titular character, suddenly burst into the former’s room to inform her that she is currently airing on television. It was not long after Peppa, who turned rose pink from shyness, realized that the two of them were on live television.
Peppa was giggling as she ran to the door and left Mummy Pig alone in the room to continue her announcement.
“I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because we’re having another baby!” Mummy Pig exclaimed, flaunting her baby bump. “I’m due in the summer and we’re all so excited!”
The now-“celebrity” mom admitted she’s a little overwhelmed but noted that she nonetheless is thrilled and completely delighted with her pregnancy.
Mummy Pig added that Peppa and her brother George also had occasional “wobble and worry,” but that the two are mostly excited to welcome their younger sibling.
