Dazed Drama Queen takes to dance floor

/ 09:51 PM July 19, 2011

Perhaps the rumors were true, after all. Mole recently spotted Drama Queen in a posh bar, curiously wearing shades at night.

DQ seemed dazed or possessed, according to the mole. The clincher: DQ headed to the dance floor, holding a bottle of water, swaying and swinging by her lonesome. DQ could also stand for Dancing Queen, or maybe Druggie Queen?

Pretty Diva has gained an unsavory reputation in the biz.

FEATURED STORIES

She allegedly threw a tantrum and refused to have her photo taken with some fans. Turned out, one of them was related to an executive of a company whose product PD was endorsing. Relative got miffed and convinced the firm to drop PD.

PD seems to have learned her lesson. She has become more accommodating to snapshot and autograph hunters, at least while they’re within earshot.

Trouble in paradise

Insiders are certain that Handsome Hunk has become weary of Lady Love’s dour image. LL gets entangled in all sorts of knots and HH usually plays “knight in shining armor,” standing by her in public.

A spy swears HH has had enough and wants to distance himself from LL. Isn’t this a tad too late?

Superstar Nora Aunor’s fans are preparing a grand welcome for the US-based actress rumored to be flying back to Manila this week. Thursday, they say.

According to Internet reports, La Aunor has agreed to play a role in the Emilio Aguinaldo epic starring Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito and directed by Tikoy Aguiluz. Is a project with TV5 forthcoming? Abangan.

Breakup times two

Parents of Popular Star have reportedly called it quits. Was this caused by the kid’s flourishing career?

Ah, the price of fame.

A source says the parents of Talented Star have also broken up. This second case is rather sad, because the couple have been together for ages and their kids, now grown up, looked up to them as the perfect parents.

Alas, good things end, too.

BB GANDANGHARI. INQUIRER PHOTO

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

Robin Padilla, asked if he’s in favor of BB Gandanghari undergoing sex change: “Opinyon ko, huwag naman. Okay na, eh!” (But what’s the worst that could happen?)

Heart Evangelista on meeting Daniel Matsunaga’s family in Brazil: “Sobrang bait talaga, sobrang inalagaan nila ako … Sobrang saya! Wala kaming ginawa kundi kumain.” (Sobrang ayos yan ah!)

Crystalle Henares, asked about her mom Vicki Belo’s fiancé Hayden Kho: “I’m still a bit protective about my mom. So, we’re not chummy-chummy or anything. Pero when we see each other in public may acknowledgment naman.” (Crystalle shed a tear after saying this. Bakit kaya?)

Ali Sotto on her late son Miko Sotto’s former girlfriend, Angel Locsin: “Natutuwa ako sa batang ’yun. Dahil nga du’n sa nakaraan namin at nakaraan nila ng anak ko, ’di mo maaalis sa ’kin ang patnubayan siya.” (Perfect biyenan sana!)

Bianca Manalo on the possibility of having a romantic relationship with John Prats: “Hindi natin alam … Kasi ngayon, nag-e-enjoy kami sa company ng bawa’t isa. Tingnan na lang po natin. ’Di ko pa talaga kasi alam, eh!” (Malalaman din natin yan—’pag break na sila.)

John Lloyd Cruz

John Lloyd Cruz, asked if girlfriend Shaina Magdayao is “the one”: Once you commit to a relationship, ’yun ang gusto mo, eh—to end up with that particular person. Pero kung marriage ang pag-uusapan, malayo pa. Malayo pa ’ko du’n!” (Para yatang hindi pa siya committed.)

Iya Villania, asked if she already has plans of marrying longtime boyfriend Drew Arellano: “We are getting there. Basta alam ko na siya na!” (Ito ang committed!)

Angeline Quinto on the success of her recent first major concert: “Kung panaginip ’to, sana huwag na akong magising!” (Be careful what you ask for.)

John Estrada, asked whether he wants a boy or girl for a first baby with wife Priscilla Meirelles: “Noong una ang gusto ko talaga, boy, kasi isa pa lang ang lalaki ko, si Yuan. Pero sa sobrang sweet ng mga anak kong babae, parang nagbabago ’ata isip ko.” (Keeping it real.)

Richard Gutierrez. INQUIRER PHOTO

Charlene Gonzalez on watching her daughter Atasha audition for a role in the play “The Sound of Music”: “Habang kumakanta si Atasha, naninigas ’yung batok ko! Sabi ko, ‘Naku, Diyos ko, ’di ko yata kayang maging stage mom!’” (Good thinking.)

Eugene Domingo, asked what she looks for in a man: “Wala na akong pinipili, basta mahal ako!” (Maraming pipila niyan!)

Rufa Mae Quinto on why Richard Gutierrez is her dream celebrity date: “Parang siya ’yung pinaka-heartthrob na maganda ang car, I want to ride sa wheels niya, mahal ’yung mga relo niya, gamit niya! ’Yung ganun!” (Ganun?)
