The Pasay Regional Trial Court Branch 114 dismissed the motion filed by independent TV contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz seeking to quash the rape through sexual assault case filed against them by actor Sandro Muhlach.

The arraignment and pre-trial of Nones and Cruz then proceeded, as per “Saksi” on Wednesday, Feb. 26, with Nones and Cruz pleading not guilty.

“The acts of lasciviousness before this court are necessarily included in the charge of rape before the Regional Trial Court,” the decision states, referring to the rape charges filed by the Department of Justice (DOJ) against Nones and Cruz at the Pasay City RTC.

Muhlach then said that he would appeal the Pasay court ruling.

“Hindi sila makakalusot dito at ilalaban ko ‘to hanggang sa huli! I will make sure na hindi na kayo makakaulit sa iba!” he said.

(They will not get away with this, and I will fight this until the end. I will make sure that they will not be able to do this to anyone else again.)
