The announcement made Chiu emotional, as she expressed her gratitude to Star Cinema, co-stars, and creatives for their efforts in bringing the film together.
“Nakakaiyak. Sobrang laki ng movie. Thank you to Star Cinema for giving us this kind of promotion, story, and sa international releases, and sa effort ng lahat. Nakakaoverwhelm,” she said.
(I feel like crying. This movie is so big. Thank you to Star Cinema for giving us this kind of promotion, story, and for the international releases, as well as the efforts of everyone. This is overwhelming.)

For his part, Avelino said whenever he dives into a new project, he always thinks of the people behind the camera and how their efforts will come to fruition.
“I’m honestly very excited. Medyo nagulat din kasi hindi ko ineexpect na gan’un karaming bansa ipapalabas ang pelikula namin,” he said. “Actually, para sa’kin, kapag nakakaisip ako ng pelikula na ginagawa ko, hindi ko iniisip ang performance ko or ‘yung ganda ng cinematography. Naalala ko ‘yung mga taong nagtatrabaho sa likod ng pelikula. Sana maging successful.”
(I’m honestly very excited. I’m also surprised because I didn’t expect our movie will be shown in several countries. Actually, for me, when I think of the films I’m doing, I do not think about my performance or how beautiful the cinematography would be. I remember the people working behind it. I hope it becomes successful.)
“My Love Will Make You Disappear” marks Chiu and Avelino’s third time working together on a project after the dramas “Linlang” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim.” It tells the story of Sari (Chiu), a 30-something woman who’s confused about the disappearance of her past boyfriends and a landlord named Jolo (Avelino).
The film was supposed to hit theaters on February 12, but was pushed to March 26 due to Star Cinema’s efforts to expand its “global reach.”
