Beauty queens Aya Fernandez, Isabelle De Los Santos unlock new milestones

Beauty queens Isabelle De Los Santos and Aya Fernandez added another jewel to their crowns after finishing their first marathon, running a full 42-kilometer stretch over the weekend.
The two ladies, who also happen to be actresses, shared their personal milestones on their respective social media accounts after finishing The Bull Runner Dream Marathon 2025 held in Muntinlupa City early Sunday morning, Feb. 16.
“Life milestone unlocked! I just ran my first-ever FULL marathon today!!!! [crying emoji] (42.2 km),” shared Fernandez, who was crowned Dreamgirl of the Year International in the 2019 Miss Tourism International pageant in Malaysia.
De Los Santos, reigning The Miss Philippines-Aura International, posted: “Here’s to the relentless pursuit of turning dreams into reality. Your girl is officially a marathoner. [teary-eyed emoji][burning heart emoji]”
De Los Santos has been diligently engaging in running activities and has participated in several long-distance runs before. But she said she did not plan on doing a full marathon even after finishing an open running activity in November last year.
“I am Isabelle De Los Santos and I can do hard things… through Christ who strengthens me! [hand in prayer emoji]” said the 2025 Miss Aura International first runner-up.
Fernandez, for her part, said: “Running a marathon really is like life: God sends the right people to push, guide, and uplift you all the way to the finish line, from training to race day.”
The two ladies also expressed their gratitude to their respective support groups and training teams for helping them conquer their first-ever full marathon.
They now join 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and 1990 Binibining Pilipinas Universe Gem Padilla, who took on the NYC Marathon in New York City in the United States in 2022 and 2008, respectively.
