Vina Morales and Sam YG couldn’t help but mock a man’s failed attempt to scam a motorist on the road, at the same time teasing that it showed “good acting.”
The duo were reacting to what appeared to be a resurfaced video that made the rounds on social media several weeks ago after Sam YG reposted the clip with the caption, “Ang bilis ng pangyayari [shocked face] (Everything happened so fast).”
The clip also included a written text that reads, “New modus in the [Philippines]. Please be safe everyone.”
In the video, a topless man is captured standing on the side of a road as he waited for the moving vehicle to come close to him before throwing himself to the car and acting as if he was hit.
The man acted unconscious as he lay down on the side of the road until he realized that the driver was unfazed by the modus. The man then tried to stand up and watched the car drive away.
Morales commented on the video and roasted the scammer for his acting skills, writing, “Hala!!! bigyan ng jacket yan for best actor. Ang galing eh.” (Come on!!! Give that man a jacket for best actor. Such good acting.)
Sam YG didn’t mention if he was the one who almost got scammed or someone he knows. But Gary Valenciano’s son, Paolo, took to the comments section of the viral post to share that he got victimized by the same modus.
“This happened to me in makati [teary-eyed emoji],” shared Paolo.

Some netizens also pitched in to share that they have been victimized as well, while others continued to roast the scammer in the video for his “acting skills.”
