Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia has been busy lately, finding a new wind as a host after debuting her chops in the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant’s coronation show.

After her stint in the national pageant, she was also tapped to share hosting chores once again with 2022 Miss Universe R’Bonney Gabriel, and even got to work with 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray, on the 2024 Miss Manila stage.

Recently, she has been announced as the first-ever Kapuso host for the reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother,” whose upcoming season will be a collaboration between ABS-CBN and GMA.

But despite the spike in her career, Garcia is not taking her health for granted. “Invest in yourself, bawal magkasakit (you cannot get sick) especially nowadays,” she told a group of scribes at her launch as the new face of a supplement brand, in Quezon City on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

“If you really wanna work hard, and you wanna invest in your work, in your career, in everything that you do, make sure to start with yourself first,” she reminded the public.

Garcia said she has been taking notes from “PBB” main host Bianca Gonzales, who she personally knows. “I’m doing my own research also,” she said.

“Tito Boy [Abunda] actualy called me last night, congratulating me, and letting me know na we have to work on something once I get to ‘PBB,’ so we can start reveiwing, we can start assessing,” Garcia shared.

She is also working on a series. “It’s currently still a secret, we cannot announce it. But we’ve been taping since December, and I’m very much excited because it’s another collab, it’s a collaboration between GMA and another platform,” she said.

Garcia said she gets to work with her friends and people close to her in the new project, which is going to promote girl power.

As for the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Garcia said she and boyfriend Khalil Ramos will not be together because both of them will be working on Feb. 14. “But it’s okay, we can celebrate it another time,” she said.
