Dia Mate is off to a strong start as she entered the Top 12 at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 coronation night in Bolivia on February 9 (morning of February 10 in the Philippines).
Mate was the second to the last candidate to advance to the next round of the global tilt after the opening, swimsuit, and evening gown portions.
Other countries that made it to the Top 12 are Guatemala (through votes), Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, España, Venezuela, and Polonia.
During its opening, Mate was among the beauties chosen to showcase their singing abilities in a brief solo performance.

Mate then turned up the heat as she pranced in a black one-piece during the swimsuit competition, where she swayed her hips and maintained an alluring expression while showing a round of spin turns.
Her pasarela was developed with the help of her coach, Miss Grand International 2024 first runner-up CJ Opiaza, who described the Cavite-based beauty queen as a “good student.”
“She’s really a good student. Mabait siyang student, nakikinig siya (she listens)… she improved a lot, I would say, as a trainer speaking right now. She really has improved a lot. [Because] she really put so much hard work when she does her training,” Opiaza said of Mate during her sendoff party last January.
