Claudine Barretto warned her fans against “red flags” in a friendship, revealing she recently distanced herself from two of her close friends after they supposedly refused to help her stand against a “criminal.”

“The other day I lost two of what I thought is like family to me. It’s sad when people cannot understand the concept of loyalty! Ang tatanda na natin di pa rin alam meaning nito,” Barretto said via her Instagram page on Thursday, Feb. 6, while showing a video of her bonding with a friend.

Barretto said she was able to pinpoint the culprit and report it to the police, but that her friends refused to stand as witnesses as they did not want to get involved in the conflict.

“Tapos sasabihan ka wala silang ibang ginawa but to help you?! What? Alam niyo na nga di ako ‘yun at umamin na ‘yung totoo ng gumamit ng name [ko and] yet saan dun as friends did you protect me?” Barretto continued.

“A crime is a crime,” she stressed. “What’s funny is that they think di sila madadamay [because] lalabas rin mga names nila?”

Speaking to her followers whom she call Palanggas, Barretto advised, “Please know that if a friend or friends know that you are telling the truth [and] won’t stand up to witness on your behalf [and] sides with a criminal, red flag.”

Barretto described such people as “dangerous” and urgied her fans to avoid them.

She then took a swipe at a certain individual who caused her broken friendship, saying,”Pang-ilang kaibigan ang umiwas nalang [because] of your attitude and negativity, but also thank you so much dahil alam ko na kung anong mga klaseng mga tao sila.”
