Liza Diño appointed as national coordinator for Asia at EAVE

Liza Diño announced that she has been named as the National Coordinator for Asia of European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE), an international organization for audiovisual producers.

EAVE, as per its website, is a professional training, project development and networking organization for audiovisual producers. Its objective is to “bring producers from different regions of the world together with the aim of facilitating co-production relationships.”

“Proud to Represent Asia on the Global Stage! Thrilled to share that I’ve been appointed as EAVE’s National Coordinator for Asia!” Diño said via her Instagram page on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

Diño is among the 17 industry professionals from Asia, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Turkey, United Kingdom, Canada, USA, and Central and South America, who will work to “strengthen the connections across the global film industry” as part of the EAVE National Coordinators’ Network.

“My journey as an EAVE Producers Workshop graduate opened my eyes to how deeply interconnected cinema is. It shaped me into the global producer I am today, constantly pushing to put Asian stories, voices, and perspectives on the world stage—not just as content, but as culture, identity, and power,” she added.

“Here’s to bringing Asia to the world and the world to Asia—with all the nuances, complexities, and soul that make our stories unmistakably ours,” she concluded.

Diño served as chairman of the Film Development Council of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022. She also founded the entertainment company Fire and Ice Entertainment along with her husband Ice Seguerra.
