Yllana Aduana on Miss Universe Philippines 2025 bid: ‘I heard you all’

For months, pageant fans have been clamoring for seasoned beauty queen Yllana Marie Aduana to take part in the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines pageant. And when it was confirmed that she will indeed join, she said she has been listening to the public’s pleas.

After the medical laboratory scientist’s appointment as the official representative of Siniloan, Laguna, in this year’s national pageant, she took to social media to share her thoughts.

“Mga mahal ko (My loves), today I can faithfully and officially say, I was listening all along. I heard you all. And I AM READY for this journey with you all!” she posted.

Aduana’s appointment was announced by the Miss Universe Philippines-Laguna organization in ceremonies held at the Santa Rosa City Auditorium on Monday evening, Feb. 3.

“It’s official This year, I am honored to be your Miss Sinoloan once again for the [Miss Universe Philippines] 2025 Pageant!” said Aduana, who represented her hometown in both of her stints in the Miss Philippines Earth pageant, in 2021 and 2023.

“I am ultimately grateful for the Miss Universe Philippines and the [Miss Universe Philippines-Laguna] Organization for putting their trust in me and allowing me to represent my beloved Siniloan, Laguna, on this stage!” she shared.

This will be the fifth time that Aduana will be competing in a national pageant. She joined the Miss Phillippines Earth contest twice before winning the title, was crowned Miss F.I.T. (Face, Intelliggence, Tone) Philippines in 2021, and joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2022, finishing in the Top 12.

After winning the Miss Philippines Earth crown in 2023, she represented the country in the international Miss Earth pageant in Vietnam, where she finished second and was proclaimed as Miss Earth-Air.

Aduana makes up a third of the strong triumvirate that Laguna is fielding for this year’s national search, which includes Miss Universe Philippines-Laguna Eloisa Jauod, and Miss Universe Philippines-Los Baños Rendelle Anne Caraig.

Both Jauod and Caraig attended Aduana’s appointment as Miss Universe Philippines-Siniloan.
