MANILA, Philippines — The House expressed its condolences to the family of actress Gloria Romero, considered the “Queen of Philippine Cinema.”
In Tuesday’s plenary session, lawmakers adopted House Resolution (HR) No. 2198, filed by Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla and sons Bryan (Agimat) and Ramon Jolo (Cavite), which was consolidated with Quezon City Rep. Juan Carlos Atayde’s HR 2196.

Romero passed away on Jan. 25 at the age of 91. “Beyond her professional achievements, Gloria Romero was deeply admired for her warmth, humility and kindness, leaving an indelible impression on her colleagues…,” the House resolution said. —Jeannette I. Andrade
