The reports also cited that the drama has a production budget of over $50 million and will have 22 episodes.

Written by screenwriter Noh Kee Hyung, “Slowly, Intensely” is set in the 1960s to 1970s, focusing on the lives of the people from the broadcasting industry, including both those in front and behind the camera.

Song recently made headlines after she debuted a new haircut, saying that it was part of her preparation for the said drama.

“I cut it for my next project. It’s a work by Noh Hee-kyung. It’s a period drama set in the 60s and 70s,” she shared during a recent appearance on “Yeojeongjaehyung.”

Noh is known for his works in “Dear My Friends,” “It’s Okay, That’s Love,” and “Our Blues,” among others.
