Sherwin Gatchalian mum on rumored split with Bianca Manalo

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian on Wednesday dodged questions about his personal life amid speculations that he and his longtime girlfriend, actress-beauty queen Bianca Manalo, have already parted ways.

The state of the senator’s heart was one of the topics tackled at the regular Kapihan sa Senado on Wednesday.

But Gatchalian was tight-lipped, merely saying “secret” to reporters when asked how he spent his holidays.

“Nagkakasakit na nga ako e (I’m already getting sick),” he said.

Gatchalian repeatedly answered “no comment” when specifically asked if he had someone to hug during the long holiday break.

Asked again to confirm the news item about him and Manao, the politician said: “Alam nyo naman hindi ako nagko-comment sa personal life ko.”

(You know that I don’t comment on my personal life.)

But is he happy? The senator answered, “Masaya naman ako parati. Masaya naman ako as a person.”

(I’m always happy. I’m happy as a person.)

Gatchalian and Manalo have been in a relationship since 2018 that talks of tying the knot would always come up in their media interviews.

A year ago, Manalo was tagged in the cheating scandal involving her “Magandang Dilag” costars Herlene Budol and Rob Gomez, who was then in a relationship with another woman. Gatchalian, however, stood by her saying “no fake news will divide them.”
