It’s been 10 years since Daniel Matsunaga was named the Big Winner of “Pinoy Big Brother: All In,” and he has remained grateful for the opportunities that came his way since then.
Matsunaga won “Pinoy Big Brother: All In” in August 2014 after being chosen as one of its celebrity housemates. Other notable alums include Maris Racal, Jane Oineza, Joshua Garcia, Vickie Rushton, Loisa Andalio and Michele Gumabao.
“It was a great journey. It changed my life completely. Until now, I’ve been doing show biz for 15 years and I’m just blessed. I’m blessed that I’m able to inspire also. I am lucky to still be able to work,” he said of his experience on the sidelines of an AweSam Smile Dental Clinic event.
Touching on his “PBB” batchmates who are also making waves in show biz, Matsunaga said he’s happy for their success while noting that he has always been aware of their talent from the beginning.
“I’m very happy for them. I knew from the start that they were very talented. I’m happy that people get to see their talent. I’m very happy that I got to know them when they were younger. We spent over a hundred days together. Parang magkapatid kami (We consider ourselves as siblings),” he said.
The actor-businessman, who’s currently dating a Brazilian girlfriend for a year, also shared that he finished doing a movie in Dubai with a Filipino team. But he hopes to make a teleserye comeback soon.
“I finished a movie in Dubai. Filipino production siya at locals sa Dubai ang kasama. Medyo busy kasi ako sa businesses pero nandito pa rin ako. Most of my gigs now are events sa cities or outside Manila,” he said. “Sana magkaroon ako ng bagong teleserye na para sa akin, ‘yung role na very important. I’m still waiting for that.”

Aside from “Pinoy Big Brother,” Matsunaga starred in the films “Shake, Rattle & Roll XV” and “Meant to Beh,” as well as the dramas “Two Wives” and “Be My Lady.”
