David Licauco appears amused by hilarious remarks from netizens who reminded him about the “three-month rule,” amid speculations of him being single.
The actor showed a photo of himself “chilling” at what appears to be a balcony, through his Facebook page on Friday, Jan. 3.
Netizens then flocked to the comments section of Licauco’s post, with one Facebook user saying, “Basta David ha, sinasabi ko sayo. Tandaan mo ‘yong three-month rule bago mo ligawan.” (David, remember the three-month rule before you court her.)
The three-month rule apparently refers to the rule in dating that says an individual must not enter another relationship within three months after their previous breakup.
In response to the netizen’s remark, Licauco sent a grinning face with sweat emoji.

The netizens did not name names on their comments. Coincidentally, it came after Licauco’s onscreen love-team partner, actress Barbie Forteza, announced her breakup with her longtime boyfriend, actor Jak Roberto.
Licauco had revealed in June 2024 that he was “taken,” although he opted to keep the identity of his then-girlfriend private.
Speculations of him being single then recently arose after a photo of him with Sparkle GMA Vice President Joy Marcelo and actor Nikki Co that has the caption “Mga single ngayong pasko” made rounds on social media.
Meanwhile, Licauco and Forteza gained popularity as a love team after working together in the hit GMA TV series “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”
The pair, dubbed as “BarDa,” also starred in the miniseries “Maging Sino Ka Man,” TV series “Pulang Araw” and the 2024 film “That Kind of Love.”
