Winwyn Marquez and Yllana Aduana have yet to confirm if they will compete in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. Still, they intrigued fans after ringing in the New Year with glamorous photo shoots showcasing their toned bodies and new looks.
Marquez surprised followers with photos flaunting her toned physique as a way to welcome the year, as seen on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Jan. 1. The beauty queen-turned-actress was fiery as ever, wearing a printed two-piece bikini and showing off her long straight hair.
“New year, new photos. Hello, 2025,” she captioned her post.
Marquez previously treated her followers to a dance cover of the song “Mexicana” back in December, which had her followers speculating if she would compete at the national tilt. To note, the Miss Universe 2024 pageant was held in Mexico.
“Won’t hurt to hop on this new dance trend! Merry Christmas everyone,” she wrote while adding the hashtag “Mexicana.”
On the other hand, Aduana caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans after hinting that she’s ready for a certain “U” on Instagram. The post showed the beauty queen donning a short wig while holding a yellow snake.
“So it’s the Year of the Snake. Ready for U, 2025,” she wrote.
The comments section of Marquez and Aduana’s posts were filled with excited messages from their fans, with some noting that their past experiences would be essential in the national tilt.
The beauty queens, however, have yet to address the speculations as of this writing.
Both pageant veterans in their own right, Marquez and Aduana represented the Philippines at the Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 and Miss Earth 2023 tilts, respectively.
Marquez, who was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2017, is dubbed a “Latina slayer” as she was able to dominate the global tilt that is heavily dominated by candidates of Hispanic heritage. She also competed at the Binibining Pilipinas 2015 and Miss World Philippines 2017 pageants.
The Kapuso actress is the cousin of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee and the niece of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez.
Meanwhile, Aduana bagged the Miss Earth Air 2023 title after coming second to Albania’s Drita Ziri. She was among the heavy favorites to win the crown during her time at the global tilt.
A Miss FIT Philippines 2021 titleholder, Aduana was also a candidate for the Miss Earth Philippines 2021 and Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageants.
