The past year has been unforgettable for some of the country’s brightest stars with some landing life-changing projects and welcoming a new member into the family. Others are grateful for the strength to brave through 2024’s challenges and survive in one piece.

Celebrities took to their respective social media platforms to say goodbye to 2024, share unforgettable memories, and look back at how the year went for them.

On Instagram, Sarah Lahbati said she is proud of herself for braving through 2024 despite having “nothing.” She also looked back at her favorite memories of the year, which included a photo of herself with her sons Kai and Zion.

“When I had nothing, I had everything. Thank you, 2024. Thank you,” she wrote.

Heart Evangelista said she is looking forward to the new year filled with “promises and bigger dreams” while sharing clips of her favorite Fashion Week looks.

“As we close this 2024 chapter, we look at the runway ahead that is full of promise. Here’s to bigger dreams, bolder moves, and a year that’s nothing short of fabulous. Paris, wait for me. I’ll see you soon,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, Judy Ann Santos expressed her gratitude for the blessings she received the past year, including her Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2024 Best Actress award, securing new clients, and being part of the film “Espantaho.”

“Naluluha pa rin ako pag naiisip ko, kung gaano kakulay itong taong to. Sa bawat isang taong nakasama at nakatrabaho ko, maraming maraming salamat. Nakaukit kayo sa puso ko. At lahat ng ito hindi posible, kung hindi dahil sa pinaka magandang biyaya sa buhay ko… Ryan, Yohan, Lucho, and Luna. Kayo ang buhay ko,” she said.

(I’m still teary-eyed when I think about how colorful the past year was. To everyone I met and worked with, thank you very much. You all have a special place in my heart. All this would not be possible if I was not blessed with Ryan, Yohan, Lucho and Luna. You are my life.)

Maja Salvador, who welcomed her first child Maria in 2024, is grateful for the year as it was the time her family was “complete.”

For Iza Calzado, the past year has been an “incredible, crazy ride” as she took on several roles in films, secured brand deals, and was able to be part of a play, among other milestones.

“2024 has been such an incredible crazy ride, and I’m beyond thankful for the amazing brands, projects, and collaborations that made it unforgettable. From the films and play I was honored to be part of, to the meaningful work we’re building at SheTalks Asia and AKTOR. It’s all been so fulfilling,” she said. “Here’s to even more growth, creativity, and impact in the year ahead.”

Yen Santos admitted on her Instagram page that 2024 is the “best and worst year rolled into one,” while looking forward to what the year has in store.

“2024!!! The best and worst year rolled into one. But I’ve got my eyes on 2025 and it’s looking pretty great,” she wrote.

Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna celebrated the end of the year by taking a family vacation in Baguio, where they feasted on delicious food, explored tourist attractions, and interacted with their relatives.

“Wrapping up the year with a very grateful heart. I thank the Lord Jesus for all that He has done and given us. We’re ready for you 2025,” Luna said on Instagram.

“From the highs to the lessons, every moment counts. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Let’s welcome 2025 with open hearts and bigger dreams,” he added.

Francine Diaz admitted that 2024 was a year that tested her while reminding the value of “being strong” for oneself and focusing on “what really matters.”

“I promised to put myself first this year and it wasn’t easy — lots of guilt because sometimes I feel like I’m just being selfish, but I also realized, it’s all about the balance, and the people who will help and teach you to be a little kinder to yourself when you’re figuring out your life,” she said.

For Awra Briguela, the past year “tore [her] down” and it was the time she “suffered too much.” Despite this, she remained hopeful of what the coming year would bring.

“This person suffered too much this year. 2024 was not kind, but it was honest. It tore this person down. May 2025 be gentler, filled with more laughter, fewer tears, and a softness that this soul has long deserved,” she wrote.
