Nadine Lustre kept her response brief when asked how she would respond if she’s “uninvited” to an ex’s wedding, an apparent play on the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “Uninvited” in which she’s one of the lead stars.
In an interview on the online series BGRY, as seen on TFC’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, Dec. 24, Lustre was asked to react to hypothetical situations where she would be uninvited or invited including the wedding of an ex.
“Okay lang, hindi ako pupunta (It’s okay. I’m not going). Enjoy!” she said in response.
The actress was then asked how she would respond if she’s invited to an ex’s wedding instead.
“Hindi ako pupunta. Kaya niyo na ‘yan guys (I’m not going. You can handle it guys)!,” she said before laughing.
Lustre, who’s currently dating French-Filipino entrepreneur Christophe Bariou, was previously romantically involved with James Reid. They worked together on numerous projects as a love team, including “Never Not Love You,” “Diary ng Panget” and “On the Wings of Love,” to name a few.
The actress is one of the leads of the Dan Villegas-helmed “Uninvited,” which also stars Vilma Santos, Aga Muhlach, Gabby Padilla, Elijah Canlas, Mylene Dizon, Tirso Cruz III and Ketchup Eusebio. She took on the role of Nicole who harbors a deep resentment toward her father, billionaire Guilly Vega (Muhlach).
Lustre’s portrayal of Nicole earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2024 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal.
