Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin are ex-BFFs rekindling romance in new trailer

The much anticipated big-screen reunion of former ’90s love team Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin in the upcoming romantic comedy film “Ex Ex Lovers” is just around the corner as the film officially released its first official teaser trailer.
Project 8 Projects and Cornerstone Entertainment dropped the trailer on their social media pages on Wednesday, Dec. 18, teasing a push-and-pull romance for Magdangal and Agustin’s characters.
“May nagbabalik (someone is coming back) and they made the stupid mistake of falling in love with their best friend… again?!?” said the voiceover.
In “Ex Ex Lovers,” Magdangal and Agustin portray ex-best friends and former lovers who cross paths again, reigniting their connection while navigating the wounds of their shared past in the most comedic ways.
As of writing, the trailer has accumulated more than 2 million views across all social media platforms.

Directed by JP Habac, “Ex Ex Lovers” also features Juan Karlos and Loisa Andalio in supporting roles. The film is slated for a February 2025 release.
Habac is best known for his works in “I’m Drunk, I Love You” (2017) and “Love You Long Time” (2023), and the web series “Gaya sa Pelikula.”
Magdangal and Agustin are reuniting after 25 years. Their love team rose to fame after starring in the ’90s films “Flames: The Movie,” “Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang?” and “Hey Babe!”
The pair popularized the dialogue, “I was stupid to make the biggest mistake of falling in love with my best friend. Dahil kahit kailan hindi mo naman ako makikita,” as told by Magdangal to Agustin in “Labs Kita, Okey Ka Lang?”
