BTS, Taylor Swift, BINI among most streamed artists of 2024

K-pop boy group BTS, international pop star Taylor Swift and P-pop girl group BINI have emerged among the most-streamed artists of 2024 after dominating local and global playlists this year, based on data provided by Spotify.
According to Spotify, BTS emerged as the most streamed K-pop artist globally for 2024, emphasizing the group’s enduring popularity despite their absence from the music scene while rendering service in the military.
Aside from BTS as a group, its members Jungkook and Jimin secured second and fourth place, respectively, in this year’s list. The boy band managed to maintain its top standing from last year.
Swift emerged as the streaming platform’s 2024 Global Top Artist after garnering 26.6 billion streams this year alone. The “Lover” singer also landed No. 1 on the Philippines Top Artists list.
Meanwhile, BINI is No. 1 in the Philippines’ Top Group of 2024. The nine-piece girl group also claimed the No. 2 spot of the list of Top Local Artists of the Year, trailing behind hip-hop artist Hev Abi. It likewise secured the Top 4 spot in the overall ranking for Top 2024 Artists for the Philippines.
