Months after Sandro Muhlach and Gerald Santos came forward to share their own painful experiences of sexual abuse, they were seen interacting at an undisclosed gathering, with the former being hopeful of their journey toward healing.
On his Instagram Story on Nov. 26, Muhlach shared a photo of his recent interaction with Santos at an undisclosed gathering.
“Nice to see you in person, Kuya @thegeraldsantos! Our story doesn’t end with suffering. Hope, healing, and a brighter tomorrow awaits,” he wrote. The actor, however, didn’t disclose the details of their interaction.
Muhlach made headlines in August 2024 after filing a complaint against his alleged sexual abusers, GMA independent contractors Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz. The abuse supposedly took place on the night of the network’s gala event weeks prior.
In the same month, Santos revealed in a Senate hearing that he was raped as a minor by a former musical director in 2010. Coincidentally, his alleged abuser came from the same network.
Both stars publicly took the battle against their respective abusers since then, with other celebrities coming forward to share their own horror stories.
Santos responded to Muhlach’s post on his Instagram account, saying he’s happy to “finally meet” the young actor in person.
While much of the fate of Muhlach and Santos’ abusers remains unknown, the Department of Justice (DOJ) filed criminal charges against Nones and Cruz at the Pasay City Regional Trial Court last October.
Santos’ case, on the other hand, prompted YouTuber Enzo Almario to reveal that he, along with two other minors, were allegedly raped by the same person in September 2024.
