While she emerged “happier” from the challenges she faced in the past 10 months, Bea Alonzo regards 2024 as the “hardest year of my life.”
The actress said this in a conversation with celebrity doctor Aivee Teo, as seen on the latter’s YouTube vlog on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The two of them were exchanging updates on their recent endeavors when Teo pointed out that Alonzo looked content, happy, and “very at peace with [herself]” despite what she had previously gone through.
While they did not immediately mention any specific instance, it can be noted that Alonzo called off her engagement with actor Dominic Roque earlier this year.
“You look liberated. Why?” Teo asked, to which Alonzo answered, “I don’t know. Life happened. My God! This must be like the hardest year of my life.”
Nonetheless, Alonzo underscored that she also achieved significant milestones in her career as an actress and an entrepreneur in 2024.
She further noted that during this year, she was able to do more and has found balance between her work and personal life.
“Maybe that’s why I’m much happier now because I get to live my life,” she said.
Sharing her learnings from the past months, she stated, “When things don’t go according to plan, maybe it’s better to trust God’s plan because God’s plans are always better.”
“Naniniwala ako do’n sa quote na ‘This too shall pass’ kasi everything passes; everything’s fleeting — may it be good times or bad times,” she added.
Alonzo also declared that instead of having resolutions, she has set her goals for 2025. “I will be really aggressive in putting in the work to achieve those goals.”
