Beauty queen Catriona Gray has arrived in Mexico for the 2024 Miss Universe competition, where she will serve as a backstage host.
On Thursday, Nov. 14, the Filipina beauty queen took to Instagram to share her vibrant, floral-themed portraits.
Gray was a sight to behold in her bold makeup and strapless top, along with large gold earrings that add a touch of elegance.
“Hola Mexico!! I’m over the moon to have touched down in your beautiful country!” she captioned her post. “No puedo esperar a conocerte más, México,” which translates to that she’s excited to get to know Mexico more.
“Grateful to have been invited back to serve as your backstage host for the 73rd @missuniverse competition,” she added, before asking her followers who their bets are.
After winning the Miss Universe title in 2018, this is the third time that Gray has been invited to be a commentator in the international pageant.
In a previous interview before she left the country, Gray revealed that she was initially considered to be the main host of the pageant.
Aside from Gray, 2022 Miss Universe R’bonney Gabriel will also take part as a preliminary round host alongside reigning Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios, while Olivia Culpo and Mario Lopez will serve as the show’s main hosts.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo is on a quest to win the country’s fifth Miss Universe crown at the coronation night on Nov. 16 (Nov. 17 in the Philippines).
Gray said that Manalo radiates “fresh air” as the Philippines’ representative.
“Chelsea, she’s great. I feel like she gives a fresh new air to Miss Philippines. She’s so young, and I’m really excited to see how she transforms onstage,” she stated.
