Jennylyn Mercado graced GMA’s 2024 Christmas Station ID after her absence last year stirred rumors of a potential network switch.

Released on Monday, Nov. 11, GMA’s Christmas Station ID captured Mercado and her husband actor Dennis Trillo doing a seasonal cheer.

This appearance marked Mercado’s return to the network’s festive campaign after months of speculation about a possible transfer since last year.

Fans took to social media to express their reactions about the “Love.Die.Repeat” actress’ latest appearance.

In July, Mercado revealed that she hasn’t signed a new contract yet with her home network, fueling rumors of network transfer amid her absence at the 2023 Christmas station ID, last June’s initial station ID, “Isa sa Puso ng Pilipino,” and the 2024 GMA gala.

However, at the time, the “StarStruck” alumna’s manager, Becky Aguila, instantly denied the rumors that her talent was leaving the GMA network.

Meanwhile, Rhian Ramos’ participation in this year’s station ID was also pointed out given the rumors that she is also transferring to a different network.

Earlier this month, Ramos’ politician boyfriend Sam Versoza spoke on behalf of his girlfriend about the rumors of network switching.

“Nasa GMA rin po ang ‘Dear SV’ ko. Masaya po ako sa GMA. Masaya rin po sa GMA si Rhian, hindi po totoo na lilipat siya sa ABS-CBN. Wala po akong alam sa sinasabing ako ‘yung dahilan kaya siya lilipat,” he said in an interview.

(My ‘Dear SV’ is also on GMA. I’m happy with GMA. Rhian is also happy with GMA; it is not true that she will move to ABS-CBN. I don’t know anything about saying that I am the reason why she will move.)

GMA’s Christmas station ID this year also saw SB19 members Pablo and Stell as first-timers in the campaign, as they currently serve as hosts in this season’s “The Voice Kids.”

As a tradition, the 2024 GMA Christmas Station ID, titled “Ganito ang Paskong Pinoy, Puno ng Pasasalamat,” highlights the Filipino spirit of gratitude and togetherness during the holiday season.
