In a bittersweet conclusion, Philippines’ Angelica Lopez wrapped up her quest to bring home the Miss International 2024 title after falling short to secure a spot in the Top 20 of the final competition during the coronation night in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Lopez was a sight to behold as she donned her elaborate national costume, adorned with intricate details including feathers, pearls and shimmering embellishments. Her ensemble featured a high-slit gown and a dramatic headdress that complemented her look.
She was also a sight to behold in a video shown where she was wearing a teal-colored cut-out swimsuit.
The dusky Filipina was vying to be the seventh Filipino woman to win the Miss International crown, after Gemma Cruz won in 1964, Aurora Pijuan in 1970, Melanie Marquez in 1979, Precious Lara Quigaman in 2005, Bea Rose Santiago in 2013, and Kylie Verzosa in 2016.
The Philippine bet also initially landed on the list of Miss International 2024 frontrunners by global pageant observer Missosology earlier today.
Reigning titleholder Andrea Rubio of Venezuela will pass her title at the end of the coronation night.
