Alex Gonzaga is taking a step further into her career as she signed a record deal with O/C Records, which is owned by celebrity couple Kian Cipriano and Chynna Ortaleza.
Gonzaga recently inked a contract with the music label to “showcase her musicality,” as announced by O/C in a press statement on Friday, November 8.
To celebrate her new milestone, the “Pure Love” star dropped her new single “Pasulyap-Sulyap” on the same day, a revival of the 1997 hit by Tootsie Guevara.
Gonzaga shared that she chose to breathe new life into the track as a way of recalling a “budding romance.”
“The song’s melodic and heartfelt nature resonates with anyone who has experienced
the thrill and sweetness of budding romance,” she said.
The label added that the actress-content creator will be releasing more revivals of classic hits in the future.
This milestone marks nine years after Gonzaga released her first EP “I Am Alex G.” in 2015. Aside from solo music, she dropped the songs “Sissums” and “Please Lang,” which was done with her sister Toni.
The vlogger previously made headlines after announcing that her body is in a “better condition” to conceive, after several failed pregnancies with her husband, Lipa City Councilor Mikee Morada.
