Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young deal with trauma in new series ‘Light Shop Keeper’
Ju Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young will join forces in the upcoming series “Light Shop Keeper,” which revolves around their characters dealing with inner trauma.
The actors’ casting was confirmed in a press statement by a streaming platform, where the series is set to premiere on December 4. Based on the webtoon of the same name by Kangfull, the series tells the story of six strangers putting together the pieces of their forgotten past.
Ju will portray the role of the mysterious light shop owner Jung Won-young, while Park will star as Kwon Young-ji, a nurse who takes charge of her life after a near-death experience.
They are joined by Bae Seong-woo, Uhm Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, and Kim Min-ha, although details of their characters’ back stories are yet to be revealed.

Desperate for answers and searching for a way back to normalcy, the strangers are drawn to a mysterious light shop at the end of a foreboding alleyway, which holds the key to their past, present, and future,” the synopsis reads.
Also lined up for Ju for 2024 is the rom-com “Love Your Enemy” with Jung Yu-mi, set for a November release. Ju is also known for his lead roles in “Princess Hours,” “Kingdom,” “Jirisan,” and “Blood Free.”
Meanwhile, Park starred in a wide range of films and series, including “Daily Dose of Sunshine,” “Strong Girl Do Bong-soon,” “Doom At Your Service,” “A Werewolf Boy,” and “Concrete Utopia,” among many others.
