GOT7’s Jinyoung returns from military service; welcomed by BamBam, Yugyeom
Park Jinyoung of GOT7 was officially released from the military on Thursday, Nov. 7, and his bandmates BamBam and Kim Yugyeom showed up at the site to give their love and warmest welcome.
Jinyoung was released from his 18-month military service and told the press that he had an enjoyable time inside the base.
“I enjoyed myself for a year and a half with good friends. I think I became more resilient. I promised my fans that I would be back with a healthy image, and I think I fulfilled that promise, so I’m grateful,” he shared.
Jinyoung also shared his plans to immediately return to work, as he teased that he will begin the filming of his upcoming drama as well as the preparation for GOT7’s comeback.
“I think that I will begin filming ‘Unknown Seoul’ soon now that I’ve returned. We are also working hard on GOT7’s new album. There are other members due to enlist in a few months, so before that time comes, we want to make sure to repay our fans with an album,” he said.

Meanwhile, BamBam previously raised concern among his fans after he penned a few “alarming” posts on social media, which alluded to death.
At the time, his bandmate Jackson Wang expressed support for him by advising him that it’s okay to be “selfish and get things right for himself.”
In January 2021, all seven members of GOT7 left JYP Entertainment and are now pursuing their solo careers. But they are gearing up for a group comeback in 2025.
