Filipino-French entrepreneur Christophe Bariou shared that his girlfriend actress Nadine Lustre is writing a song about him.
On his Instagram broadcast channel, Bariou responded to a fan’s question, asking what his favorite song of Lustre is.
“The one she is currently writing about me,” he said, although the pair is yet to confirm if Lustre is going to release the song to the public.
Before becoming a full-time actress, Lustre debuted as one of the members of the girl group Pop Girls in 2009. She eventually left the group to start a solo music and acting career.
Over the years, the 31-year-old actress has released the hit songs “Para-paraan,” “Paligoy-ligoy,” “No Erase,” “Bahala Na” and “Hanap-hanap.” The last three songs were a collaboration with her former on-screen and real-life partner James Reid.
Meanwhile, Bariou also shared that when he first met the “Deleter” actress, he thought she was not just cute but also “very hardworking.”
“My first impression: Yes, she was cute, but what immediately stood out was how, even on holiday with friends, as soon as she arrived she was hard at work on her laptop while the others relaxed by the pool with cocktails. She came across as someone very purpose-driven and (maybe a little too) hardworking,” he replied to another fan.
The businessman noted that Lustre’s fame was initially a factor for him to almost step aside, but he realized that they are a match.
“When I eventually learned she was “kind of famous,” I initially thought, ‘Never mind, no way, I don’t want drama! (Always been trying to stay low-key.) But after talking to her one-on-one, I realized we had a lot in common, and she was surprisingly down-to-earth,” he said.
Lustre and Bariou made their relationship public in 2022, then made their first public appearance as a couple the following year.
In 2023, the couple launched their wine business, which they regard as their passion project.
