Hollywood stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox paid tribute to their late “Friends” co-star Matthew Perry on his first death anniversary.
On Instagram, Aniston shared a series of photos, one a black-and-white snapshot of her and Perry posing for the camera, and another showing the late actor kissing her forehead on the Central Perk set of “Friends.”
The third image captured the entire “Friends” cast: Perry, Aniston, Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc, huddling in a circle, as the carousel of photos concluded with a photo of Perry laughing.
Aniston simply captioned her post, “1 year,” alongside the heart-and-dove emoji, as she tagged Perry’s foundation, the non-profit established in his name to help people struggling with addiction.
Meanwhile, Cox also took to her Instagram account to remember Perry, sharing a photo of them facing and warmly smiling at each other and an image of the “Friends” cast from one of their photoshoots.
“Missing you today and always,” she wrote on her caption, alongside a red heart emoji and Perry’s foundation.
Aside from the two, Hank Azaria, who played David in “Friends,” Phoebe’s boyfriend (Kudrow) also took the time to remember Perry.
“One year without Matthew. He helped me get sober and made me laugh harder than anyone else. I miss him every day. The world isn’t the same without you, brother!” he wrote on Threads alongside photos of them on the set of the hit sitcom.
On Oct. 28 of last year, Perry was found dead at his home in Los Angeles. The autopsy report later on revealed that the cause of death was due to “acute effects of Ketamin” and subsequent drowning.
Earlier this month, Kenneth Iwamasa, Eric Fleming, Dr. Mark Chavez, Dr. Slavador Plasencia, and Jasveen Sangha have been charged per the United States Department of Justice “of conspiring to distribute the drug ketamine” in connection with Perry’s death.
