‘Saving Grace’ starring Julia Montes, Sharon Cuneta to air on Nov. 28
“Saving Grace,” a Filipino adaptation of the Japanese drama “Mother” which stars Julia Montes, will be available for streaming on November 28.
Its airdate was confirmed in a streaming platform’s press statement, and it will consist of 14 episodes. Joining Montes are Sharon Cuneta, Janice de Belen, Sam Milby, Christian Bables, Jennica Garcia, and child star Zia Grace.
“Saving Grace” tells the story of a school teacher (Montes) who kidnaps her student, Mary Grace (Grace), in an effort to save her from her abusive parents (Bables and Garcia).
Meanwhile, Cuneta will take on the role of Montes’ biological mother in the series, while de Belen will portray the adoptive mother of Montes’ character.
The series will be co-directed by FM Reyes and Dolly Dulu, with both filmmakers reiterating that the drama will portray the “emotional intensity” of a mother’s sacrifice from a Filipino perspective.

Julia’s character does something most people would consider unthinkable, yet we empathize with her,” Reyes said in a statement. “It’s about love, sacrifice, and the impossible choices people must make for those they care about. I believe this is a narrative that will resonate with audiences worldwide.”
