Pia Wurtzbach is ready to let go of some of the items she held close to her heart during her Miss Universe 2015 stint, including her pageant sashes, journals, and other personal belongings.
On her Instagram page on Thursday, October 24, Wurtzbach announced that her pageant sashes, journals, and Miss Universe 2015 Top 15 dress will be auctioned off at a charity gala in December.
“We’re just a little over a month away from the Love Gala! Sharing some pieces we’re auctioning…do you remember these? 1. This silver dress when I was announced in the Top 15; 2. My sashes from Binibini up until Miss Universe; 3. My beloved notebooks… all my thoughts and notes as Candidate # 15,” she wrote.
Wurtzbach clarified that her personal Miss Universe items are “memorable” to her in the comments, saying she has plans to turn them into “something more memorable and lasting.”
“They’re actually more sentimental to me than anything I’m auctioning off. All my thoughts are in those notebooks. All the struggles, the training, the doubts, everything,” she said. “Letting them go doesn’t mean they don’t matter to me. They do… I have a plan of turning them into something more memorable and lasting.”

The former beauty queen admitted that letting go of her personal items is “not easy” for her since she got them at a “very important” time in her life.

Wurtzbach competed at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant thrice until she eventually became the third Filipina to be crowned Miss Universe in 2015.
One of the noteworthy moments of her life story, which was broadcast on “Maalaala Mo Kaya” in 2017, showed the Miss Universe titleholder frequently taking notes in her journals throughout her pageant journey.
