Thai actors Mew Suppasit, Tul Pakorn announce engagement

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Thai actors Mew Suppasit and Tul Pakorn after the former popped the question and received a yes from the latter.

Suppasit surprised Pakorn with an engagement proposal at the press conference for his new single “Absence” on Thursday, Oct. 24.

During the event, Suppasit called on Pakorn to step on the stage with him. Pakorn went and stood by Suppasit’s side while the latter was talking about how his single was made for his surprise engagement proposal.

Suppasit then got down on one knee while showing the ring to Pakorn who, in turn, knelt and “proposed back” to the former.

On his Instagram page on Thursday, Suppasit formally announced their engagement, sharing a photo of them kissing after the proposal.

“He said ‘YES,” he captioned the post.

Suppasit and Pakorn, who have known each other for over a decade, had been rumored to be dating since 2021 as they can be frequently seen on each other’s social media accounts.

The pair only confirmed the speculations and made their relationship public last July during a guesting in the digital program “My Ambulove.”

Thailand is the first country in Southeast Asia to recognize marriage equality after King Maha Vajiralongkorn signed same-sex marriage into law.
