Leni Robredo received praises from celebrities including Gary Valenciano, Karen Davila, Jim Paredes and Cherry Pie Picache after the former vice president braved the floods caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine to extend help to the victims.

In the photos shared by netizen Egine Oquindo Baral and re-posted on Robredo’s Instagram page on Thursday, Oct. 24, Robredo and several other companions were deep in a waist-high flood in Naga City while holding on to a rubber boat containing drinking water and other goods.

Robredo was giving out the supplies while also seemingly scouring the area severely affected by the storm.

Robredo’s comments section was then filled with followers and celebrities who applauded her presence in relief efforts.

“The heart of service,” Davila said of Roberedo’s initiatives.

“Ang kaluluwa ng tunay na paglilingkod,” Picache stated. “Ingat po, ma’am.” (The spirit of true service. Be safe, ma’am.)

“Ang tunay na leader,” Paredes described Robredo. “Ingat po. Pinagdarasal po namin ang Bicol.” (A true leader. Be safe. We are praying for Bicol.)

“God bless you Atty. Leni and all those affected by [tropical storm] Kristine sa Naga,” Valenciano said.

Other artists who expressed their admiration for Robredo and extended prayers for the victims were Nyoy Volante, Nikki Valdez, Janno Gibbs, Bing Loyzaga, Rita Avila, DJ Chacha, Benjamin Pangilinan and Gab Pangilinan.
