CJ Opiaza served her signature sultry looks and displayed her trim body in an all-out performance during the preliminary competition of the Miss Grand International 2024 tilt, much to the delight of pageant fans in Thailand.
Opiaza and 68 other candidates took to the stage to showcase their swimwear and evening gown performances at the pageant’s preliminary competition, which aired on Tuesday night, October 22.
Donning a synthetic gold leather bikini and hoodie at the swimsuit competition, Opiaza began her performance by introducing herself onstage before having a pose-off with Peru’s Arlette Rujel.
The Castillejos, Zambales-based beauty queen then pranced onstage while swaying her hips, ending her strut with her index finger raised. She also had a brief interaction with Poland’s Aleksandra Wielogórska before leaving the stage.
Then, Opiaza switched gears to a more subdued strut during the evening gown competition, where she donned a yellow-orange tube gown with a matching cape by Ryan Ablaza Uson.
On Uson’s Instagram, he described the gown as a “magnificent tribute to Queen Sirikit of Thailand.” He also shared that the dress is adorned with Swarovski crystals and a skirt that resembles layers of necklaces stacked together.
Opiaza and her makeup artist Yaj Labeo also shared a closer look at her swimsuit and evening gown looks on their respective pages.
The Miss Grand Philippines titleholder earlier showcased her anahaw-inspired national costume, which is said to be a display of “Filipino strength, resilience, and victory.”
Opiaza is on a quest to bring home the Philippines’ first Miss Grand International title, where the coronation night will be held on October 25 at the MGI Hall in Bangkok, Thailand.
The pageant veteran’s coronation in her national tilt made headlines, as it happened three days before flying off to Cambodia and Thailand for the pageant’s activities.
