SB19’s Pablo is continuing his powerful streak as a solo artist as he’s set to release the short film “Una” on November 9, which will be directed by Sonny Calvento.

Pablo announced the release of “Una” on his social media platforms on Tuesday, October 22, while attaching the short film’s poster. It contains a photo of a furry animal hanging on a boat’s hull with a seashore in the background.

Aside from Pablo, also part of the cast are Alijah Abatayo, Ube Lola Daleon, Renerio Concepcion, Froi Manto, and Luiz Ratnayake.

Details on the short film’s plot are yet to be announced.

Sonny Calvento is known among filmmakers and cinephiles for combining symbolic imagery with real-life situations. This is seen in his short movies “Primetime Mother” and “Excuse Me, Miss Miss Miss,” where the Meryll Soriano-starrer bagged the Audience Choice Award and Best Screenplay at the 2024 Cinemalaya Film Festival.

Calvento also served as the writer for the film “The Decaying” and thriller drama “The Killer Bride.”

Pablo debuted as the leader, chief songwriter, main rapper, and vocalist of SB19 in October 2018. He made his solo debut in January 2022 with the single “La Luna.”

He released the alums “Alon” and “Laon” in September of this year, and is currently serving as one of the coaches of “The Voice Kids.”
