Gosiengfiao underscored that “Friendly Fire” does not only promote Filipinos’ love for gaming but also shows messages on “friendship, perseverance, and teamwork.”

“Friendly Fire” follows a team of underdogs in the highly competitive world of esports that is put to the test when its star player suddenly quits for the bigger gains.

The film features Coleen Garcia, Loisa Andalio, Yves Flores, Jan Bautista, Harvey Silverio, and Bob Jbeili, and it will open in Philippine cinemas on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
