Santos-Concio made the announcement on her Instagram page on Saturday, October 19, recalling how she “embraced every challenge” and found joy in every step of the way.

“Ako po si Charo, isa nang ganap na Philippine Air Force (PAF) Reservist,” she began. “It’s never too late to start something new, to challenge yourself, and to keep on growing. Today marks my graduation from the PAF Reservist training—a journey that was as rewarding as it was challenging.”

The “Maalaala Mo Kaya” host said she developed a “renewed love for [the] country” throughout her experience while urging her followers to pursue their passions despite their age.

“Spending these past few weeks alongside my fellow reservists has been an honor, and I hope my story encourages you to pursue your passions, face your fears, and keep moving forward. No matter where you are in life, know that growth is always possible,” she said.

Santos-Concio earned the support of Iza Calzado, Karen Davila, Coney Reyes, Ruby Ruiz, and Dingdong Dantes in the comments of her post.
