P-pop girl group BINI made it to the Grammy Awards’ “12 Rising Girl Groups to Know Now,” the only Filipino girl group included in the list.

The list was posted on the Grammys’ website on Thursday, Oct. 3, highlighting a slew of female acts that are “set to fill the yearn of the audience for another global girl group takeover.”

Putting BINI as the fourth group on the list, the Grammys noted that P-pop is becoming one of the fastest-growing music markets amid the global domination of K-pop, with members Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena spurring the music revolution.

“First seen in ABS-CBN’s 2019 training program ‘Star Hunt Academy,’ BINI has captured Southeast Asia with EDM-driven pop production and a blend of English and Tagalog lyrics. And as the first Filipino act to enter Spotify’s Top Artist Global Chart and to perform at the long-standing KCON festival, it’s no surprise they’ve been dubbed the ‘Nation’s Girl Group.’” read the description.

Aside from BINI, other girl groups included in the list are South Korean groups UNIS, ARTMS, VCHA, Kiss of Life, NiziU and BLACKSWAN; Thai group 4EVE; American groups Citizen Queen and SZNS; and British trios FLO and Say Now.

Meanwhile, the Grammys recognition is the latest addition to BINI’s growing list of adulations. They previously made it to Teen Vogue’s list of “12 Girl Groups to Watch in 2024.”

The girl group was also recently nominated at the 16th Star Awards for Music and the 2024 MYX Music Awards. BINI was also one of the recipients of the Voices of Asia at the “Billboard K Power 100” held in Seoul, South Korea, last August.

As of writing, the nation’s girl group has several performances lined up, including the upcoming Asiya Festival, Billboard Philippines: Mainstage this October and their Grand BINIverse concert in November.

Known for their hits “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” “Lagi” and “Cherry on Top,” among others, BINI continues to take the P-pop scene by storm.
