Two P-Pop boy bands are set to perform at the 2024 Miss Grand Philippines final show. Before the official ceremonies, 1621BC will entertain the audience at the venue, while Press Hit Play is scheduled to take the stage during the actual program.

Meanwhile, veteran broadcaster Dyan Castillejo will take on a different role in front of the camera as she is set to host the program together with seasoned host KC Montero, who has handled the coronation shows of several national and international competitions in the past.

“It’s almost time to find out! The grand coronation night is happening this Sunday, September 29th at 8PM to be hosted by Dyan Castillejo and KC Montero at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Newport World Resorts,” the Miss Grand Philippines Organization (MGPH) shared on social media on Friday, Sept. 27.

The ceremonies will be streamed in real time on the GrandPH TV YouTube channel. “[W]itness the beauty and talent of these amazing women as they compete for the crown,” MGPH said.

The truncated edition of the national search started with the presentation of 19 delegates on Monday, Sept. 23. The day after, an additional candidate was announced, bringing the total roster to 20 aspirants.

The eventual winner will have only a few days before flying to Thailand for the 2024 Miss Grand International pageant, as the global tilt’s delegates are expected to arrive on Oct. 3. The global tilt’s finale will be held on Oct. 25 in Bangkok.

Another national title is at stake in the national competition, the Universal Woman Philippines, that has a more inclusive set of qualifications, in line with the international pageant’s mechanics, allowing participants who have been married or have borne children, and are between 25 and 45 years old.

Last February, the Philippines sent national pageant veteran Maria Gigante as the country’s first representative in the Universal Woman competition. She won the title, becoming the global tilt’s second queen.

Gigante will be on hand to crown the next Universal Woman Philippines, who will be tasked to post a second consecutive win for the Philippines. Nikki de Moura will relinquish her Miss Grand Philippines title to her successor, who will try to become the first Filipino woman to clinch the “golden crown” in Thailand.
