Former “T.G.I.S” star Kim Delos Santos shared that she missed being in show business as she recalled the reason why she had to leave in the first place.
“Miss ko siya (showbiz), of course. Being in showbiz is part of me already. I started when I was six. Namimiss ko siya, pero there are times na parang comfortable ka na rin sa America. It’s the comfort already. I’ve been there for 20 years; 2004 ako umalis dito,” she shared in a recent guess appearance on Marites University.
When asked for the reason she left showbiz, Delos Santos, who’s now working as a nurse in Houston, Texas, admitted that it was because she was too in love with her ex-husband, actor Dino Guevarra, and their relationship turned out to be “toxic.”
“My ex. No shame in saying it. I’m not gonna lie about it. He was really the main reason why I had to leave, because I was sobrang in love. In love talaga ako kay Dino. And the last fight that we had wasn’t good. Naging physical so they told me I needed to go,” she shared.
“Kasi hindi ko rin pinangarap, you know, kasi kung ganon na it happened once, it will happen again. I’m not saying that he’s a bad guy. At first, I was pissed at him, of course. Galit ako sa kaniya. Ang sama ng loob ko but then… Right now, I’m healed. It took years,” added the former actress.
The former “Anna Karenina” actress revealed that she is not on speaking terms with Guevarra but has already forgiven him.
“If you understand Dino’s history from childhood, you’ll understand why he’s the way he is. Wala na akong issue. I’m at the point right now kung magkatrabaho kami, I’m fine,” she said.
Delos Santos said that she has been single for seven years now as part of her healing process, but admitted that she’s ready to love if it’s God’s will.
“After ng relationship, ko kay Dino. I’ve been with two men for half of my life before ako nag single. I was with Dino for seven years and then my fiancee for 11 years and after that I said enough. There might be something that needs fixing so now the problem is because you’re fixed, you’re pickier,” she explained.
The former child star shared that if she receives offers to act again, she will gladly welcome them, especially next year when she plans to take a break from her work abroad.
“Kung meron mag-offer, actually, I was thinking about it next year. I want to rest rin naman because I’ve been working for 20 years,” she said.
Delos Santos also revealed the reason she lost weight, saying that she underwent gastric sleeve and semaglutide procedures.
