Wolfgang vocalist Basti Artadi declared that the band does not support the upcoming release of their self-titled album vinyl under Ivory Music and Vicor Music, in which they will only get a meager P2.40 royalty per P1,900-worth record.

Artadi disclosed this through his Instagram page on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

“This could have been so easy and enjoyable but…you know why Wolfgang is not supporting the Ivory/Vicor ‘Wolfgang’ vinyl pressing? They will ‘pay’ the band Php 2.40 per Php 1900 record,” he stated.

“Php2.40 that Manuel, Wolf, Myself and Mons kids will have to split between each other,” he continued. “That means if the record company makes 1,900,000 pesos of album sales, Wolfgang gets 600 pesos each.”

Artadi also lamented how such circumstances were driven by people’s greediness.

“[It’s] 2024 and this is the type of stuff that still goes on today when honestly there is enough to go around if people weren’t so greedy,” he said.

The artist then revealed that the band has other plans on their self-titled album which they will roll out on its 30th anniversary in 2025.

“…If you can wait, I will make it worth your while and the band would appreciate it because we will finally get paid for fighting to put that album out,” Artadi addressed fans.

Supporters of the band expressed their dismay via the comments section, with some saying they have canceled their vinyl orders and will instead wait for “Wolfgang’s” reissue in 2025.
